Karobar daily´s news editor Bijay Babu Khatri died in a car accident on Saljhandi of Rupandehi district. The car which was on its way to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj met with the terrible accident while trying to save a cycle rider.


Khatri started his journalism career from “Patrika Satdinye” in 2054 B.S. He had previously worked at Kanitpur daily and Kantipur television as an economic journalist and then moved to Nagarik daily. He was currently working for Karobar daily as the news editor.

Critically injured Khatri was rushed for treatment at the Lumbini Zonal Hospital following the accident. Three other correspondents of Karobar daily—Lila Ghimire, Radhika and Bichar Acharya -- were also injured in the accident. (Karobar)
