UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday reiterated that he is facing a security threat on his life from some 'unseen forces'.

Speaking at a function in his birth district Kaski today, he also asked people to take a responsibility to protect him from such forces.

Dahal was attending the 23rd Council Meeting of Kaski Development Committee (DDC) in Pokhara.

Stating that those who wish to do something good to the nation always face threats, Dahal claimed BP Koirala and Madan Bhandari also fell prey to such threats.

The Maoist leader was of the view that derailments surfaced in political negotiations at the eleventh hour also owe to activities of those who want to linger instability in the nation.

"I can't say which force is mobilised from where," he said, "But Nepali people should understand it."

Dahal said the first Constituent Assembly (CA) was dissolved thanks to activities of some external forces.

Four major political forces – Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, UCPN-Maoist and Madhesi front – had almost reached to the final agreement then, he claimed.

Meanwhile, Dahal accused ruling NC and UML for trying to avoid criticisms and passing the buck on him.

"I am moving ahead keeping my party's future at stake," he said, "But, can they (NC and UML) run away pointing the finger at me?"
