A day after the announcement by Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bimlendra Nidhi about conciliation of proposed visit of Janakpur by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi, Nepalese foreign minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey and Indian ambassador to Nepal Ranjeet Rai dismissed the reporting saying nothing such announcement has made officially from either side.

Despite confusion about the visit, a security team led by Home Secretary Surya Silwal reached Janakpur to make necessary security arrangements for a public reception for Indian Prime Minister Modi to be organized by Janakpur residents at local Barha Bigha Maidan. According to a report, the three member high level team comprised chief of Nepal Police Upendra Kanta Aryal, Armed Police Force chief Kosh Raj Onta and National Investigation Department´s Jeet Bahadur KC reached Janakpurdham.

"It is our duty to make necessary arrangements if our guests want to visit some places of interest to them,” said Pandey commenting on media reports about concerning cancellation of Modi´s trip.

In an interaction program organized by Reporter’s Club, Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae dismissed media reports about cancellation of Modi´s proposed visit to Janakpur. "There has not been any official communication yet about cancellation of Modi´s visit," he said during a program organized by Reporters´ Club.
