Country Director of KOICA Nepal Office Kim Hyungkyoo met with the President of Nepal Ram Baran Yadav at Shital Niwas on Wednesday.  Country director Kim discussed about the various ongoing projects of KOICA. According to a press release issued by KOICA, furthermore, he stated that most of the projects are concentrated on the Terai Region of Nepal like Butwal,Nawalparasi, Lumbini, etc. However, he addressed that the inner political disturbances has affected not only the people of Nepal but also foreign aid projects.

Country director Kim believes that once the situation becomes stable the ongoing projects shall be more effectively implemented. He is interested in hearing more about the local people’s need and believes that ownership lies in the local people themselves.

The President expressed gratitude towards the various assistances provided by Korea to the people of Nepal. Furthermore, he expressed desire to strengthen the relationship between the two nations via further cooperation and coordination.
