President Visit To Take Nepal-China Relations To New Height

Foreign Affairs experts have said that the upcoming visit to China by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav will take Nepal-China relations to new height.

Speaking at an interaction, they said it was a matter of pride that Nepal's President has been invited as a guest to an important conference that will see the presence of heads of state and governments of influential countries in Asia.

At the program, former Ambassador Rajeswar Acharya said high-level talks scheduled to be held with the Chinese President would help give a new height to Nepal-China relations reports RSS.

Likewise, former Nepali Ambassador to China Tanka Karki suggested that Nepal should make preparations to benefit from the high-level talks to be held with the Chinese side during the visit.

Expert on foreign affairs and UCPN (Maoist) leader Ram Karki said that Nepal should learn about sustainable development from the China visit and an environment conducive to the same should be developed in the country.

Former Ambassador Hiranya Lal Shrestha said as the Forum for Asia conference to be held in Boao is regarded as very significant for the development of the region, Nepal should make necessary preparations for utilizing the high-level visit.

Similarly, foreign affairs experts Harish Chandra Shah and Nischal Nath Pandey also called for making better use of the Boao forum, especially in the interest of the Nepali people at large.

President Dr Yadav is leaving Kathmandu this Thursday to attend the Boao Forum for Asia annual conference 2015 to be held in Hainan province of China. RSS

Meanwhile, President Dr Yadav is scheduled to address the Boao Forum for Asia: Annual Conference 2015 on Saturday. The conference is being held at Boao, Hainan Province of China from March 26 to 29 March 2015.

According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), President Dr Yadav is scheduled to hold bilateral talks on the same day with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Saturday afternoon.

President will be visiting Areca Valley Live Museum Cultural Heritage Park and inaugurate Sino-Nepal Cultural Centre (Nepal Pavilion) in Hainan on Sunday. He and his entourage is also scheduled to visit Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China on the way back home.

The delegation comprises of President Yadav's daughter Anita Yadav, Minister for Urban Development Hon. Dr. Narayan Khadka, Advisors to the President Surya Prasad Dhungel and Hari Sharma, Secretary at the Office of the President Anup Kumar Upadhyay, Nepalese Ambassador to the People's Republic of China Mahesh Kumar Maskey, Acting Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, Personal Secretary to the President Lalit Bahadur Basnet, Personal Physician to the President Dr. Yadav Kumar Deo Bhatta, and Chief of Protocol Arjun Kant Mainali and Joint Secretary of the MoFA Jhabindra Aryal.
