Government decided to provide Rs 2.5 million to the dependent members of the family of those doctors involved in the treatment of Ebola patients in case of his/her death.

According to Minendra Rijal, Minister for Information and Communication and government spokesperson, a cabinet meeting held today in Singha Durbar also decided to promote Colonel Tara Bikram Shah of Nepal Army (NA) to the post of Brigadier General.

The meeting has also promoted eight Lieutenant Colonels to the post of colonel.  Similarly, the cabinet has appointed Bishnu Sapkota as head of the Local Development Training Academy (LDTA).

The meeting has also appointed Dirgha Raj Shrestha as Chairman of National Trading. Tara Bahadur Karki has been appointed as chief of Transportation and Warehouse Centre. Prakash Bahadur Chhetri has been appointed as Chairman of the Nepal Food Corporation.

Meanwhile, the cabinet has also decided to bear the all the expenses of the Baglung lawmaker Hari Bahadur Khadka’s treatment.
