Mrs. Claudia Roth, Vice President of Bundestag, which is the Lower House of German Parliament, will pay a three day official visit to Nepal from 9th to 11th April. She will lead a three-member delegation. This visit aims to further strengthen parliamentary relations between our two countries, contributing to long-standing bilateral friendship and cooperation.
During the visit, Vice President Roth will pay courtesy visits to the President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari and Speaker of Nepalese Parliament Onsari Gharti Magar. German Ambassador Matthias Meyer will host a reception in the honor of the German delegation.
According to a press release of Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany, besides her official meetings, Vice President Roth will share experiences with the Nepalese civil society. Germany has a strong foundation of civil society, which is regarded as the partner of government in tackling several challenges in the fields of human rights, climate change and renewable energy among others.
The German delegation will visit to the rich cultural heritages of Patan and Bhaktapur.
