Pundit Indu Prakash Trivedi launched his Nepali ghazal album “Tashveer” On the third edition of Surmandu held at Lal Durbar, Yak and Yeti Hotel, Durbar Marg . Organized jointly by B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation and Maipokhari Music and Media Private Limited, Ambassador of India to Nepal Ranjit Rae was the chief guest and the National Poet of Nepal Madhav Prasad Ghimire was the special guest at the event who launched the album “Tashveer”.

A master in Hindustani Classical Vocal, Pundit Indu Prakash has been disciples of maestros such as UstadNaseer Ahmed Khan, Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan and Ustad Siddique Ahmed Khan. He associates himself with the MuradabadGharana.

Indu Prakash, who has many ghazals and bhajans to his credit in India, released his first ghazal album in Nepali amid accolades from his fanfare at the event.

According to press release of Indian Embassy, Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae congratulated Indu Prakash and shared how India and Nepal has been exchanging practices in art and music over a century. National poet of Nepal Madhav Prasad Ghimire also congratulated the singer and wished the album its deserving success.

National poet Ghimire has also lent his words for one of the numbers in the album titled Sapana Ban. Other titles in “Tashveer” include ManmaaDiyo, NayanmaAanshu, DhuwaaBanaidiyau, Aadharaatma, Ekliera, TimroMannka, NaboleraiDheraiKuraa and Kin TarekaaAankha.

Singer Urmila Mahat has also lent her voice along with Indu Prakash in the album “Tashveer”. Both Indu Prakash and Urmila Mahat enthralled the audience with their live performances at the end of the event.
