Nepal's heart surgeon Raamesh Koirala's first novel and second book, Kopila Ashram was launched. Former minister and water resources expert Dipak Gyawali and popular television host Vijay Kumar jointly unveiled the novel.

Commenting on the book, Gyawali said, "Arthur Schopenhauer wrote, 'Treat a work of good writing like a prince: let it speak to you first.' Like Schopenhauer said,You need to let Kopila Ashram speak to you first."

Similarly, Vijay Kumar said, "Rhythm [of writing] is what makes or breaks a writer. Rhythm makes even simple statement made sounds beautiful. There is a wonderful rhythm to in Raamesh's writing.

Another commentator, journalist, writer Kedar Sharma said, "Kopila Ashram talks about the byproducts of conflicts."  Though he had based his novels on incidents that happened during different conflicts, the novel is purely a work of fiction and it is best if readers don't look for truths in it.

According to a press release of FinePrint, Kopila Ashram is the story of an eponymous orphanage and the people associated with it. The orphanage is nothing but a front to smuggle orphans to the west as adoptees. At the center of it is a certain Hariramji, a little educated but shrewd man with dubious backgrounds. He keeps the individual records of children who end up at his orphanage and are later taken away by foreigners, and through these records we get to know about the back stories of these children and the circumstances in which they are orphaned.

Published by FinePrint, the book is based on the story of conflict era.
