The Nepal Army observed the Army Day with a special ceremony at the Army Pavilion Tundikhel.

Supreme Commander-in-chief of Nepal Army President Dr Ram Baran Yadav attended the function as the chief guest, along with other dignitaries.

Nepal Army marks the Mahashivaratri festival as the Army Day with a spectacular display of parade, firing of salvo, fireworks and aerial tactics, among others.

The formal organizational structure of present Nepal Army was established in 1819 B.S. and is presently a military force of some 95,000 army personnel led by Chief of the Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana.

Similarly, a wreath Laying Ceremony have been observed by CoAS Gen Rana on the honor of Martyrs of Nepalese Army in Chhauni.
