Ninety percent votes casted in the Kathmandu Valley. According to the Home Secretary Janardan Nepal, despite some unpleasant incidents during the election, the anti-poll forces were unable to halt the voting.
According to Election Commission, vote count will likely to begin from Wednesday morning in Kathmandu.
Speaking at a press meet, Home Secretary Nepal claimed that this is the government’s grand success to hold CA election in a free, fair and peaceful manner. “This election was a historic one. Over two thirds of votes have been cast in the CA poll across the country,” said Secretary Nepal.
According to secretary Nepal, security forces defused Improvised Explosive Devices in 32 places across the country. Similarly, IEDs went off in 16 places of the country.
In total the police have nabbed 37 individuals across the country who were involved in anti-poll activities. Likewise, 25 individuals have been hurt in the various incidents.
