U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Peter W. Bodde spoke to the Rotary Club of Pokhara Monday evening.  During his remarks to the Rotary Club members and visiting business leaders , Ambassador Bodde focused on the importance of volunteerism.  He said, “I’m constantly impressed with the young Nepalis who are the future of this nation. 

There are Nepali volunteers who are starting environmental clubs in their schools, tutoring programs with at-risk kids, organizing blood drives and raising money for victims of floods or fires.  I especially encourage Rotarians and other senior leaders to reach out to young people by mentoring them and teaching them the importance of public service.”
