The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Volunteers is organizing Korean Culture Festival 2013 with a support from KOICA on July 13, 2013 from 10:00 to 17:30 at Rastriya Sabhagriha (National City Hall) Exibitionroad, Kathmandu.
Keeping in mind the growing popularity of Korean culture, life style and language among Nepalese people, this cultural festival has been being organized since 2011. The aim of this event is to introduce and promote the Korean Culture to Nepalese. Furthermore, the culture festival includes programs like Korean music, dance, games, cuisine, traditional culture experiences, pop concert, exhibition and video about Korea and many other programs which exhibit the sparkling Korean culture.
By conducting this kind of culture festival, KOICA is also helping enhance the cultural ties, mutual understanding and friendship bond between Korea and Nepal. Besides Korean culture festival, KOICA volunteers organize many programs to enhance the understandings and friendship between Korea and Nepal by transferring Korea's development know-how in fields such as Korean language, nursing, children's education, rural development, agriculture, computers and etc. Recently, KOICA volunteers published two different Korean-Nepali books on IT related world successful personnel’s biography for children and medical terminology for volunteers.
