Air Asia donated Rs. five lakh for flood victims of far western region

Air Asia, the Malaysia-based Air Asia, donated Rs 500,000 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for victims of recent floods in various parts of Nepal.

According to press release, a team led by Azhanudin Shah Azman, flight operations director of Air Asia X met Chairman of the Interim Election Government Khil Raj Regmi and handed over the cheque.

On the occasion, Azman said that the aid is also the part of the carrier’s corporate social responsibility. The carrier which operates daily flight to Kathmandu-Kuala Lumpur sector made its debut in the Nepali skies on July 3, 2012.

During the handover ceremony, Hari Man Lama, Executive chairman of Incentive Group of Companies, GSA-AirAsiaX was also present.
