Chinese Embassy in Nepal celebrated the 64th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. Chinese ambassador Wu Chuntai and Mme Jiang Chunyan hosted the reception in capital Kathmandu on September 27.
Vice president Permanand Jha attended as a chief guest. During the reception ministers, leaders of various political parties, high level government officials, security personal Kathmandu based foreign diplomats, business communities and Chinese national working and living in Neal were present.
In his message, chairman of council of minister Khil Raj Regmi said,” Nepal and China are very close neighbors. The age old relationship between Nepal and China has remained very cordial and unique since time immemorial. “Being a very close neighbor with geographical proximity, Nepal posses the great prospects in reaping the benefits of tremendous development achieved by China,” said Regmi.
Foreign minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire said, “the government of China provided continued support in the socio-economic development of Nepal including human resources development, industrial development and infrastructures. Such cooperation has generated tremendous goodwill in Nepal and Nepalese people.”
Chinese ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai said, “I also wish to express heartfelt thanks to all the Nepali friends who have shown understanding and given persistence support to China in its development. ” Since China and Nepal established diplomatic relations 58 years ago, our bilateral relations featuring mutual respect, mutual trust, equality, good faith and mutual assistance, has set a model of state-to-state relation and have never been impacted with changes of the international situation.”
A Chinese group also performed cultural program during the reception.
