The Embassy of Israel donated three computers each to Autism Care Nepal and Down Syndrome Association of Nepal. Ambassador of Israel to Nepal Hanan Goder handed over the computers that were donated by various organizations in Israel and he visited both the organizations and
A small presentation was also given to highlight the situation of autism in Nepal and what Autism Care Nepal has been doing to help children and people with autism.
Speaking during his visit to the organizations, Ambassador Goder said, "we should all support the work of these lovely organizations that do wonderful work for the community. They are doing holy work and we are proud to be associated with their mission".
According to a press release of Embassy of Israel, the donated computers are expected to assist the organizations in keeping records of the people with such special needs and other administration works.
Autism Care Nepal was founded in 2008 and it is the only organization in Nepal that is run by passionate parents that care for children with autism. This organization provides support and information to persons with autism and people who work with these children in Nepal. It also educates, aware and acts for the right of children with autism.
Similarly, Down Syndrome Association of Nepal was initiated in 2006 by the group of parents of children with Down Syndrome.This organization provides education, proper hygiene and care to the children and their goal is to make such children independent, respectable and productive individual in the society.
