Visiting Indian Army Chief General Bikram Sing held separate meetings with President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Chief of the Army Staff Gaurav Samsher Rana on Thursday
The Indian Army Chief arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day visit on Thursday. During the meeting, CoAS Rana and Singh dwelled on a range of bilateral issues including Indo-Nepal historical relations and military ties between the two countries.
"The two army chiefs discussed to continue and expand areas of cooperation between the two armies," reads a press statement issued by the Nepal Army Public Relations Directorate following the meeting.
During his visit, the Indian army chief attended a ceremony of the joint military exercise Armies of the two nations at Saljhandi of Rupandehi district. Singh is scheduled to return home on Saturday.
