Philippe Le Houérou, the World Bank's Vice President for South Asia, arrived in Kathmandu tomorrow on a four day visit to Nepal. This will be Mr.Le Houérou's first official visit to Nepal since his appointment on July 1, 2013 as the Bank's Vice President for South Asia.
During his visit Mr. Le Houérou is schedules to meet with the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister of Nepal. He will also meet with senior governm,ent officials including the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, the Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission, the Chief Secretary and the Finance Secretary.
During his stay Mr. Le Houérou will visit projects supported by the World Bank and hold discussions with project beneficiaries. He will also meet with development partners and representatives of civil society, academia and the private sector.
Le Houérou will conclude his visit to Nepal on March 28.
