Danish embassy has supported new business partnership between Nepali and Danish companies in the printing industry.

The Embassy of Denmark provided an implementation phase support to a Nepali and Danish company – Mirage Printing Solutions P. Ltd and Nilpeter A/S, under the Embassy of Denmark’s private sector development programme called Danida Business Partnerships (DBP). The approval letter was signed by Jan Møller Hansen, Deputy Head of Mission, and handed over to  Suhrid Ghimire, Chairman of Mirage Printing Solutions P. Ltd.

The DBP is a facility within the Danish development cooperation, which provides financial support for the preparation and implementation of commercially oriented partnerships between Danish companies and a wide array of Nepali companies in order to mitigate some of the risks inherent to the pursuit of new business opportunities in Nepal.

The partnership between Mirage and Nilpeter focuses on deploying high-end printing solution with security features for printing telephone recharge cards in Nepal. Presently, this requirement of telecoms is met entirely through imports. Using the latest technology developments in the form of management instruments, human machine interfaces and software based machine operation, Mirage and Nilpeter both have the advantage to take over the opportunities available in the printing industry.

According to a press release issued by Embassy of Denmark, the Danish partner will provide technical support to the Nepali company by transferring knowhow and training staff to operate the hi-tech printing facilities. Along with the technical association of both the companies, the Danish partner is also investing in the Nepali company. The primary objective of this partnership is to create employment in Nepal and conduct various corporate social responsibility activities. The partnership also focuses to address larger economic goals of the country.

The Danish Business Programme has been running successfully for a decade in strengthening and capacitating Nepali companies with regard to transfer of knowledge, sustainable business practices, technology and innovative solutions from the Danish companies in various prioritized sectors.
