Confederation of Nepalese Industries and (CNI) and National Society of Earthquake Technology (NSET)) signed a MOU recently to raise awareness and make the industries secured against earthquake.
In presence of home secretary Surya Silwal, CNI president Narendra Kumar Basnyat and chairman of NSET Shiva Bahadur Pradhanang Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Addressing the program, president Basnyat said this MOU is a part Corporate Social Responsibility stressing that this agreement is important to make the industrial houses safe and secure and raise awareness among workers against earthquake.
Secretary of Home Surya Silwal said that the government is ready to collaborate with CNI and NSET to raise awareness against the earthquake.
Brett Jones Director of DRR office of US Embassy also highlighted the importance of collaboration with various organizations to prevent the loss of life and property during the earthquake.
Executive director of NSET expressed satisfaction for making collaboration with CNI to make industrial buildings prone to major earthquake. Senior vice president of CNI Hari Bhakta Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
