Indian ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae inaugurated an Art Exhibition by 16 students and 4 faculty members of the Srijana College of Art, Kathmandu at the college premises in Uttar Dhoka, Kathmandu.
The art works on display are impressions of the artists of parts of India they visited during March this year. The tour was supported by the Embassy of India and B. P. Koirala India Nepal Foundation.
In the opening remarks, the Ambassador said that such kind of activities, especially in the field of Art and Culture, should be organized on a regular basis. Such activities play critical role in strengthening people to people relations. The Ambassador also said that the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu and B. P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation would provide all possible help in organizing such programs in future as well. Twenty-seven paintings and several photographs are being exhibited in this Exhibition which will remain open till 21st May, 2014.
