Indian Embassy and B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation organized the 16th edition of ‘Poemandu’, a monthly poetry recitation program recently in Kathmandu.
This edition of Poemandu had the participation of the young and talented poets of Nepal who recited their poems in Hindi, English and Nepali. Poets Ujjawala Maharjan, Prabin Basnet Kaji, Urmila Pant Pandey, Sarju Shrestha, Hemantika Palikhe, Muna Niroula, Sanjit Bharati, Pravin Tiwari, Bibek Adhikari (Nepali), Rajiv Prajapati, Nasala Chitrakar (English), Suvasies Parajuli, Rashmi, Manohar Karn (Hindi) and Umesh Acharya.
According to a press release of Indian Embassy, young poets expressed a sense of hope and optimism in their poems filled with energy and enthusiasm. Female poets had tenderness in their poems while the male poets shared their revolutionary feelings through their poems.
Head of Press, Information and Culture at Indian Embassy and Secretary of B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation Abhay Kumar thanked all the poets for reciting their powerful poems in Poemandu.
