Embassy of India and B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation jointly organized 17th edition of Poemandu on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Nepal Bharat Library, Nepal Airlines Building in New Road.

Noted cultural historian and a critic Dr. Ganga Prasad Akela and journalist Sukeshwar Pathak chaired this edition of Poemandu.

Poets Dilli Raj Aryal, Rama Adhikary, Manisha Sinha, Komal Sapkota, Betty Bajracharya, Khagindra Khusi, Ram Prasad Rimal, Purusottam Dhungel, Ram Bahadur Bogati, Sonika Kapoor, Rashmi Rimal and Urmila Pant Pandey recited their poems in languages such as Hindi, Nepali and English.

Secretary of B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation, Abhay Kumar presented token of appreciation to all the poets who recited in this edition of Poemandu.

According to a press release of Indian Embassy, Poemandu is a monthly initiative of Indian Embassy and B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation. The embassy and the foundation have also been organizing other monthly events such as Conversations, Cinemandu and Voices.
