The Federation of Contractors´ Association of Nepal (FCAN) and Nepa Exhibition and Equipment are jointly organizing the 3rd Nepal ConXpo 2014 in December.
The five-day expo, which begins on December 5, will showcase different construction materials and construction equipment.
"We believe that the expo will be more sophisticated compared to the previous editions and that it will be fruitful for contractors," Jay Ram Lamichhane, president of FCAN, said.
"The expo will bring stakeholders of the construction industry under one roof and provide them a forum to discuss prospects and challenges of the industry," Lamichhane said. "It will also be the best platform to showcase latest technologies and innovations, construction materials and services in the industry”
He further added that the expo will feature training, seminars and informative programs on the use of construction materials, engineering equipment and mining equipment and services.
Ram Sharan Deuja, coordinator of the event, said that the expo also aims to promote domestic construction materials in the foreign market. The expo will have a total of 61 stalls of which 26 have already been booked. The organizers are expecting around 40,000 general visitors.
