B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation in association with Nepal Music Centre and in collaboration with Shastriya Sudha organized the 5th edition of Surmandu at Nepal Music Centre, Pingalasthan recently.
In this edition of Surmandu, promising singer, Summina Loo performed melodious ragas to enthrall the musical aficionados of Nepal. Summina Loo, a trained classical singer, who has lent her voice in many playback numbers, was accompanied by Jiwan Rai on tabla and Nabin Neupane on harmonium.
Surmandu is one of the regular events being organized jointly by B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation and Nepal Music Centre. Veteran flute maestro of India, Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia performed during the launch of Surmandu in February, 2014.
Other than Surmandu, B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation has been regularly organizing its monthly events such as Conversations, Poemandu, Cinemandu and Voices.
