BoK Announces Bonus Shares

Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) has announced 10.97 percent of dividends to its shareholders. According to a statement, a meeting of the bank´s board of directors decided to provide 10.42 percent bonus shares and 0.55 percent cash in dividends to its shareholders.

The decision, however, is subject to the approval of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and the bank´s upcoming annual general meeting. After issuance of proposed bonus shares, the bank will be able to maintain the paid-up capital of Rs 2 billion as prescribed by the NRB. With the adjustment of the announced bonus shares, the paid-up capital of the bank will reach Rs 2.12 billion. According to the unaudited financial statement of BOK, the bank earned a net profit of Rs 254 million in the last fiscal year.
