Prime Minister Sushil Koirala met Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi at New York. During the meeting, both the leaders discussed the matter of bilateral issues and progress made in the agreement made during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Modi to Nepal.
During the meeting high level officials from both the countries including foreign minister of Nepal Mahendra Pandey, prime minister Koirala’s foreign advisor Dinesh Bhattarai, foreign secretary Shanker Bairagi, Nepal’s permanent representative to UN Durga Prasad Bhattarai, prime minister’s personal secretary Bashanta Kumar Gautam and prime minister Koirala’s Public Relations advisor Mridula Koirala and other high officials.
Similarly, India’s Minister of External affairs Sushmaswaraj, foreign secretary Sujata Singh, Security advisor Ajit Dhobla and spokesperson of India’s External Affairs Ministry Saiyad Akrubuddin.
“Both the prime minister expressed that there need to further accelerate Nepal-India bilateral cooperation,” said Prakash Adhikary, Prime Minister Koirala’s press coordinator.
