Dr. Eyal Shachar, an Israeli dentist and his team of a Nepali dentist and three dental hygienists from Dhulikhel hospital provided free dental treatment to the locals of Kalimati on 15 October 2014. The team will visit Mahadevbesi on 17 October.
According to a press release of Embassy of Israel, the team of dentists provided general check-ups, cleaning, and other necessary treatments to the community. Equipment for the camp was brought from Israel and Dhulikhel Hospital to provide sophisticated treatment to the patients.
The two day dental camp is organized by the Embassy of Israel together with Dhulikhel Hospital and Nyayik Sansar, an Israeli NGO. Around one hundred people from the marginalized and minimum wage community benefited from the two days camp.
Dr. Shahar volunteered at Dhulikhel Hospital for a week in the first week of October. Dr. Shahar is an oral surgeon and has experiences working with adults and children having special needs. Dr. Shahar is an expert in all kind of treatments from conservative dentistry to complicated mouth rehabilitation implants combined.
