Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Gaurav Sumsher J.B.Rana took part  in Annual Chiefs of Defense (CHOD) Conference 2014' held in Brunai. Organized jointly by United States Pacific Command (US PACOM) and Royal Brunei Armed Forces at Darussalam.

COAS General Rana also took part in various other programs. In a program held on November 4, a paper was presented on "Multilateralism: Practical Cooperation Towards Shared Responsibility and an interaction was also held on overcoming the Limitations of Multilateralism.

COAS general Rana also met Prince of Haji Al-Muhtadee BillahandLt Gen Gao Jin, Assistant Chief of General Staff of the People's Liberation Army (PLA)andAdmiral Choi Yoon Hee, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS),Republic of Koreaseparately.
