Vice President Paramananda Jha attended a reception held here on the occasion of the 87th birthday of the Thai king Bhumibol Adulyadej and the National Day of Thailand.

Present in the reception hosted by the Thai Ambassador to Nepal, Mrs Kanthong Unakul, were the heads and officials of the diplomatic missions based in Kathmandu, the heads of constitutional bodies, senior officials of the Government of Nepal, industrialists, businessmen, Thai nationals residing in the capital in course of work, senior media persons and distinguished persons.

The reception began with the presentation by Thai artistes the national anthems of both Thailand and Nepal.
