Chinese Vice Minister for the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Chen Fengxiang is arriving in Kathmandu on Sunday as part of laying groundwork for the prospective visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kathmandu reports My Republica.

Chen´s visit is taking place ahead of the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu in next two weeks. Chen is the member of the CPC Standing Committee and Vice-Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the 12th National People´s Congress since March 2013.

Vice Minister Chen´s delegation of about five member of the CPC´s International Department is scheduled hold meeting with President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, and top leaders of all major political parties during his stay in Kathmandu.
