Indian ambassador Rae planted Bodhi tree

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae on Wednesday planted the sapling of Bodhi tree from Bodhgaya at a sacred garden near Ashoka Stupa in Mayadevi Temple complex.

 It was gifted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal during his visit last month. The sapling was planted amid holy chanting by Monks from India, China, Tibet, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu said in a statement.
