The Population Monograph of Nepal-2014, an analysis of the overall statistics of National Census-2011, was made public.
National Planning Commission (NPC) member Dr Yagya Bahadur Karki made the monograph public amid a programme organized by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
The comprehensive analytical report based on the final results of different levels and areas of National Census-2011 is expected to help expedite development planning and execution of Nepal.
Prepared in three separate volumes, the first part of the monograph presents analysis of various demographic features and dynamics. The second section has provided analysis of social features of demography in terms of ethnicity, language and religion. The third volume has provided anecdotes of economic dynamics of demography.
The report has provided policy recommendations to the government based on the analysis of changes in the demographic history of Nepal and its potential impact on other sectors, said CBS Director General Bikas Bista reports RSS.
