President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) Rajesh Kaji Shrestha requested Israeli ambassador to Nepal Yaron Mayer to support initiatives to bring Israeli investment in Nepal.
During a meeting with ambassador Mayer, Shrestha said hydropower, agriculture, infrastructure development, tourism, handicraft industry and service sectors could be attractive areas for investment for Israeli investors. Shrestha also said NCC was ready to provide necessary support to Israeli businesspeople interested to invest in Nepal.
Responding to the NCC officials, Mayer said the Israel government was ready to extend economic and technical support to Nepal. Mayer also suggested that Nepali entrepreneurs increase production of organic fruits and vegetables, saying that demand for such products is very high in other countries.
