Israel’s Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Yair Shamir is arriving in Nepal on a two-day official visit on Thursday. During his stay in Nepal, Shamir is scheduled to hold talks with his counterpart Hari Prasad Parajuli and meet Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Officials said cooperation in the agriculture sector, including transfer of technology and issues related to Nepali migrant workers in Israel’s agriculture among others will be discussed during the meetings. 

Israel has been supporting Nepal's agriculture sector for long time and helping Nepal's small farmers agriculture program.
