The 19-party alliance led by UCPN-Maoist said that it would not let the Constitution Assembly (CA) start the voting process unless the parties forge consensus on the contentious issues of the constitution. A meeting of the alliance held at the Parliamentary Party Office of the UCPN-Maoist on Sunday morning made the decision that it would adopt utmost flexibility for consensus but would not let the CA begin the voting process.

The meeting has also decided to retaliate in the CA if the ruling parties—Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML— tried to begin the voting process through power.

The alliance said that it would help the 30-party front to make their bandh successful reports THT online.
