Hotel de l’Annapurna will be rebranded under the five-star Dusit Thani brand as the developer of Annapurna and Dusit International today inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to run the hotel under the Dusit Thani Annapurna Hotel brand. Dusit International, which is based in Thailand, is a leading Asian hospitality group.
The MoU in this regard was signed by Shreejana Rana, executive director of Hotel de l’Annapurna and Rustom Vickers, group director - development, Dusit International, in the presence of Kanthong Unakul, ambassador of Thailand to Nepal.
Hotel de l’Annapurna in the initial period of its establishment was associated with Hilton Hotels and Resort, it later associated with Taj Group of Hotels and now with Dusit International.
“This year is the golden jubilee year of the establishment of the hotel,” said Rana, adding, “We hope our alliance with Dusit International will establish a new protocol for the hotel industry in Nepal.”
The Dusit Thani Annapurna Hotel, Kathmandu will be positioned to become an iconic local hotel of an international calibre, offering around 230 guest rooms, a variety of restaurants, recreational facilities and large banqueting spaces.
Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, Vickers from Dusit International said both companies have much in common being regarded as original pioneers in Nepali and Thai hospitality sectors respectively, both family businesses with strong long-term values and consideration to local community, and perhaps most importantly both companies are embarking on new and exciting chapters in their long histories
