After they were reported about an explosion, police raided a house in Syuchatar-1, on the outskirts of the Capital, and found a woman who had sustained injuries after a home-made sutali bomb apparently went off on its own at room yesterday evening.
Police confiscated one home-made gun, two live bullets and another sutali bomb from the rented room, rented by one Amrit Sharma of Butawal.
The woman, identified as Sitamaya Rai of Ilam, was rushed to Bir Hospital to provide treatment, and subsequently taken in custody, police said today.
According to police, they found different documents from Rai's suitcase including duplicate copies of her passport, ticket of Qatar Airways, and several papers with the mention of Tarai Janatantrik Jwala Mukti Sena.
Locals were alerted after the big noise came from the house, and informed police about it reports THT online.
Police seized a motorcycle that Sharma owned after the incident.Sharma, however, is at large, and police said they are trying to get hold of him.
