After endorsement of committee report, the Constituent Assembly meeting has been adjourned until further notice after the agitating opposition parties boycotted the plenary on Thursday.
Nepali Congress Leader Kul Bahadur Gurung, who heads the committee, tabled the committee’s report at the CA plenary for endorsement.
The report was endorsed unanimously while the opposition parties including the UCPN (Maoist) were not present in today’s meeting.
CA Chairman Subas Nembang adjourned the CA meeting until further notice after the report was endorsed.
The agitating alliance led by the Maoists had announced that they will not hold any talks with the ruling parties or with CA Chairman Subas Nembang unless the majority-based process for drafting the new constitution is withdrawn.
