Chief of Army Staff General Gaurav Sumsher Rana and UN Under-Secretary-General Hervé Ladsous discussed the matter related to bilateral issue at UN Headquarter New York. COAS general Rana is currently in New York attending in Troops Contributing Countries (TCC) Chiefs of Defense Conference.

During the meeting, General Rana and UN Under-Secretary-General Hervé Ladsous also exchanged views on various issues related to peace keeping mission and Nepal's participation at the meeting.

Currently Nepalese Army are serving is six different peace keeping mission around the world.

According to a press release issued by Nepal Army, Chief of the Army Staffs from various countries is taking part in the conference.
