IME Automotives has launched new models of UM motorbikes in Nepal.The new models are under different series like Renegade, Xtreet, Dirt Series and Motard.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, officials of IME Automotives said UM bikes are price competitive as well as well-engineered and designed.
"With the official introduction of UM motorcycle brand in Nepal, IME Automotives expects to carve a niche in the two-wheeler industry by leveraging on UM's worldwide recognition as an American motorcycle brand with aesthetically rich style and design," Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of IME Group said at the launching ceremony.
Dhakal further said UM bikes are currently being sold in 30 countries through 1,300 stores across the globe. "In order to cater better service to our valued customers, we have begun sales of UM motorbikes through our state-of-the-art showroom and service center in Gairidhara," added Dhakal.
Speaking at the program, Juan Villegas, director, Business Development of UM International LLC, said that the partnership between UM and IME will offer an exciting opportunity to the bike riders and enthusiasts to savor the world class biking experience in Nepal. "We are convinced that IME Group's structure, its highly favored brand image in the country and territorial penetration will enable us together to cater to the growing opportunities in the market of Nepal," he said.
Villegas further claimed that UM bikes are innovative, price competitive and consumer-centric. UM product ranges from 125cc to 230cc and price ranges from Rs 172,000 to Rs 385,999, according to the company.
