As the aftershocks were witnessed with gradual longer gaps in the past twelve hours, people felt some relief last night.
The people in the capital city who spent twenty four hours all on the open spaces despite their homes without cracks or very minor cracks after Saturday quake returned homes on Tuesday night in view of the lessening frequency of aftershocks.
However, the National Seismological Centre has informed that a tremor measuring 4.2 Richter scale was felt at 5:45am today. It had the epicenter in Nuwakot district, said Lok Bijay Adhikari, Chief of the Centre, adding that another tremor of magnitude four was witnessed at 4:44am with the epicenter in the same district.
With these, the number of earthquakes measuring over four magnitudes has reached 103 RSS reports.
Chief Adhikari suggested the people not to panic much as the tremor frequency has lessened gradually. The quakes of lesser degrees are not that devastative as that of the past, he added.
