British Embassy's Deputy Head of Mission (DHM) Guy Harrison is leaving Nepal after more than four years of diplomatic service here. Ms. Alison McEwen is the new DHM of the British Embassy.

Charge' d Affaires John Rankin hosted a reception at the Embassy to give a farewell to Guy Harrison and welcome the new DHM.

Outgoing DHM Guy Harrison had come to Nepal in 2010. Harrison saw several political developments taking place in the country during his stay here. He coordinated the rescue and relief operations following the great earthquake of April 25 and its aftermath.

As Nepal and Britain are celebrating 200 years of establishment of their diplomatic relations, new DHM McEwen will have an important role as well in the days ahead.
