Ambassador of the Russian Federation Dr. Sergey V. Velichikin hosted a reception to celebrate the Day of Russia at Russian Embassy premises on 20 July. Vice President Permananda Jha was the chief guest at the reception.

Addressing the reception, Russian ambassador Velichikin said Russia is proud to play a constructive role in the international arena. He also said that since the establishment of relations between Russia and Nepal, the two countries have  maintained friendly and cordial relations.

Chairman of Constituent Assembly Subash Chandra Nembang, heads of various diplomatic missions in Nepal, businessmen, civil society leaders, former ministers and high level government officials were also present on the occasion.
