Indian Embassy said that the Embassy’s attention has been drawn to a media report appeared in the India quoting Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh stating – “Although the Madhesi problem is an internal issue of Nepal, the Indian government will protect the interests of the one crore Indians living there.”

“The Home Minister of India has denied making any such statement at the event yesterday in Maharajgunj, Uttar Pradesh. The Madhesi issue, he said, was required to be addressed by the Nepalese themselves,” said Indian Embassy in its press relase.
