Nepalese Ambassador to India Deep Kumar Upadhyay attended a program at the office of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and met its president Narendra Kumar Basnyat and other office bearers.

Welcoming ambassador Upadhyay, CNI president stressed the need to make Nepalese products more competitive in the Indian market by removing the non-trade barriers imposed in India. President Basnyat also urged ambassador Upadhyay to make possible efforts to increase Indian investment in Nepal.

Upadhyay said he had been making every effort to open the Indian market for Nepalese products. “I have been meeting Indian business communities and requesting them to invest in Nepal."
