Indian Embassy Condemn Baseless and Malicious Comments

Indian Embassy has said that its attention has been drawn to certain comments about India by C. P. Mainali, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare and deputy prime minister and Minister of Poverty Alleviation and Cooperative Chitra Bahadur KC.

Government of Nepal, in an interaction at Reporters’ Club, Kathmandu on 7 November 2015.Reacting to the comment made by Mainali, the Embassy said it strongly condemns such baseless and malicious comments, which divert attention from the real issues facing the country and vitiate the age-old historical, familial and civilizational ties between India and Nepal.

The Embassy reiterates that India's only objective is peace, stability and prosperity in Nepal. India hopes that internal issues facing the country will be resolved through political dialogue and reconciliation. India will support all efforts in this regard.

Similarly, Indian Embassy reacted the certain comments about India by Chitra Bahadur KC, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Poverty Alleviation, in an interview to the Himalaya TV.

According to a press release issued by Indian Embassy, the embassy condemns the comments made by Chitra Bahadur KC, which are completely baseless and provocative, aimed at vitiating the age-old historical, familial and civilization ties between the people of India and Nepal. The Embassy expects the Government of Nepal to distance itself from these comments.

India seeks peace, stability and prosperity for the people of Nepal. India has consistently supported the government and people of Nepal in their endeavors to make a peaceful, stable and prosperous Nepal and will continue to do so.
