India extends financial assistance of NRs 86.07 million for Construction of school building for Shree Bhu. Pu. Sainik Community Academy, Bayarghari and Construction of campus building for TribhuvanAdarsha Multiple Campus, Putalibazar in Syangja District

Indian Embassy signed two separate Memoranda of Understanding with District Development Committee, Syangja and Shree Bhu. Pu. Sainik Community Academy, Bayarghari and Shree TribhuvanAdarsha Multiple Campus, Putalibazar  for construction of two school/campus buildings as part of India–Nepal Cooperation Programme of the Government of India.

The Bhu.Pu. Sainik Community Academy, Bayarghariwas established in 2003. It’s currently being run in a rented building which is inadequate to accommodate all the students. The new building, being constructed with Indian assistance of NRs.41.92 million, will provide a much needed building to the students and teachers so that enrolment rates increase and teaching takes place in a conducive environment.

Similarly, Govt. of India has committed an assistance of NRs.44.15 million for construction of campus building for Shree TribhuvanAdarsha Multiple Campus. Established in 1980, the campus is currently being operated from a rented building in Putalibazar-1,Syangja. The new campuslocated along the Pokhara – Sunauli Highway will provide suitable classroom space and create an improved environment for learning and contribute to the development of education in the district by catering to a larger number of students.

According to a press release issued by Indian Embassy, apart from these two projects in Syangja district, 2 educational and 2 health projects with total commitment of NRs 100.7 million are at various stages of implementation.  India has also gifted 7 ambulances to various organizations in the district.
