India commits financial assistance of NRs 35.46 million for construction of Siddeshwar Education Public Campus, BamtiBhandar, Ramechhap District

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed for construction of campus building for Siddeshwar Education Public Campus, BamtiBhandar, Ramechhap District as part of India–Nepal Cooperation Program of the Government of India.   This will be the second educational project supported by the Government of India in the district.

The project is being implemented by the District Development Committee, Ramechhap at a cost of NRs. 35.46 million. The present   infrastructure of the campus is dilapidated.  The new campus will provide suitable classroom space and create an improved environment for learning and contribute to the development of education in the district by catering to a larger number of students.

Apart from this, a school building for Manthali Higher Secondary School has   been constructed with financial assistance of NRs.26.4 million   and seven ambulances and a school bus   have also been gifted in this district by Government of India.

In addition, the Government of India has extended financial assistance of approx. NRs 380 million towards   renovation, restoration, upgradation of various sites of religious, educational, cultural and historical importance in Nepal in financial year 2015-2016. The India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Program has an outlay of over NRs 76 billion with more than 514 large and small development projects completed or being implemented in almost all the districts of Nepal.  These development projects, mainly in the sectors of education, health and infrastructure development, have been undertaken in response to local needs and in partnership with the Government of Nepal.
