Qatar Embassy Hosts Reception

Ambassador of Qatar to Nepal Ahmed Jasim Al Hamar hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Qatar. Vice president Nanda Kishore Pun was the chief guest.

Ambassador of Qatar to Nepal Ahmed Jasim Al Hamar hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Qatar. Vice president Nanda Kishore Pun was the chief guest.

Attended by the Ministers, high ranking government officials, Nepal Army, and Police heads of the diplomatic missions based in Kathmandu, businessmen and people’s from various walk of life.

During the reception documentary on Qatar’s progress was presented.

It gives me great pleasure to express my warm greetings, and deep appreciation to the government and people of Nepal, on the occasion of the National Day Anniversary of the State of Qatar.

December 18, is the day we remember, how our national unity was achieved in 1878 by Shaikh Jasim bin Mohammad Al Thani, the founder of the State of Qatar, and how we became a distinct, and respected nation. This national occasion emphasizes our identity and rich history, embodies the principles and aspirations that Qatar was founded on.

The State of Qatar, under the wise leadership of His Highness the Emir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, continues to play anactive role, to live up to its national and international commitments. The country has witnessed tremendouspolitical and economic gains that led to massive achievements in areas such as education, health, sports, transportation, communication, and other public services and social welfare, designed under Qatar National Vision 2030.

Qatar and Nepal, throughout the diplomatic history, have been enjoying excellentrelationship guided by the trust, goodwill, understanding, and respect to each other. As a result, our two countries’ relations were crowned by a number of mutual cooperation agreements and protocols.We arekeen and committed to strengthen this relationsin all areas of interest, includinginvestment, energy, agriculture, tourism, and culture for the betterment of our two friendly nations.

I take this opportunity, to congratulateNepal for promulgating the new constitution – the much awaited dream of the country - which marks the completion of the comprehensive peace agreement, I extend my sincere appreciation toMedia houses, other institutions, and friends, for their immense and valued support extended to me.

Finally, I would like to express my best wishes, for the peace, progress and prosperity and sustainable development for the peopleof Nepal and long live Qatar-Nepal friendship.
